Apple today announced iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most advanced Pro lineup ever, featuring the Dynamic Island—a new design that introduces an intuitive way to experience iPhone—and the Always-On display. Fiber-based packaging does not use outer plastic wrap, bringing Apple closer to its goal of completely removing plastic from all packaging by 2025.
Today, Apple is carbon neutral for global corporate operations, and by 2030, plans to be 100 percent carbon neutral across its entire manufacturing supply chain and all product life cycles. Tbh. I was most impressed by the Apple Watch Series 8. Packs loads of useful features. Might get one once they include a blood pressure sensor & a better battery life.
So they trademarked something everyone has been doing for years, trying to make a stupid gap on the display less noticeable by one form or another!? And of course only the pro is able to do that, arranging content to fit around the stupid screen gap is too demanding for the lower versions and their users didn't pay enough for the privilege
So the satellite SOS feature is not available outside of North America. Will the rest of the world get a price cut then!
Still miss the all metal body they had to sacrifice for wireless charging, though.
For people claiming there's no innovation: the new Applewatch Ultra is amazing and at a better price than expected and the iPhone 14 shares the body with the iPhone 13 minus the hardware upgrades.
I'm gonna give my mom my iPhone 13 Pro Max and give my dad her iPhone 12 Pro Max. (I hand me down to my parents and for them it feels like an upgrade).
Petrol-heads are bit more sophisticated, they appreciate the engineering and obviously the peculiar placement of the engine rather than the ugliness of Porsches.
It's a watch made for people who say they do these things but don't, with no true longevity. Which is also why for the situations you'd need a dive computer you're paying north of a grand for a good one and it's make of resin and silicon and can last the days in a saturation tank.
