Packaging

The box is, how should I put it... unique, with liberal use of bright rainbow colors intertwined to grab your attention. In other words it feels as if HYTE were inspired by the tie-dyed craze of the 1960s and 1970s in the USA. Regardless of why they opted for the design it does its job well enough. The top has THICC in bold along with the brand name but little else. Meanwhile, the front has the product name. It isn't until you flip around to the bottom that you find all the features and specifications. While most of the necessary information is here I would still consider it a bit sparse and considering how much unused space there is A bit more detail in the specification would have been nice to see in those areas.

The internal packaging is tries to give a more premium feel with a paper cover for you to rip into but once removed shows the cooler is encapsulated by the standard cardboard tray as is the case with most all-in-one liquid coolers. Considering the $300 price tag, and the fact the unit has a fancy IPS display I would have preferred to see some foam used here. That said, everything did arrive safe and sound.

Everything needed is included in the box from HYTE and more surprisingly the cooler comes pre-assembled for you in that the fans are already installed and ready to go. Thermal paste is also pre-applied for you which will be nice for some, however, I would prefer a separate tube myself especially as an affordable extra. CPU socket support is robust with all mainstream sockets supported out of the box. Intel's LGA2011 and LGA2066 alongside AMD's TR4 are also supported but require you to contact support for the necessary brackets.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 8x 36 mm fan screws
  • 8x 6 mm radiator screws
  • 4x Mounting nuts
  • 4x Intel LGA1700 standoffs
  • 4x Intel LGA1200 / LGA115X standoffs
  • 4x Intel LGA1200 / LGA115X spacers
  • 4x AMD standoffs
  • 2x Intel mounting brackets
  • 2x AMD mounting brackets
  • 2x THICC FP12 120 mm fans
  • 1x Breakout
  • 1x Intel backplate
