I'm gonna be short.

What is non-negotiable:

• 1080p.
• Beyond 120 Hz.
Not curved. Anyone suggesting a curved monitor will be reported and deported to Brazil.
• Not TN. Not OLED.
• Supports displayport.
• 27". No more, no less.
• No smearing, ghosting, etc issues. At least no noticeable.

What would be great:

• Beyond 200 Hz.
• Not way over 300 USD.
• Available in Russian stores.
• Doesn't lose to Dell S2715H in terms of colour accuracy.
• VESA availability.
• Standard "non-gaming" visual design. Call me ol' fashioned but these "gaming" monitors are fugly as hell.

So, any suggestions? I'm not in hurry whatsoever.

You're kinda locking yourself in with that 27" 1080p requirement. Most of the manufacturers have ditched them for 27" 1440p instead.

I think it's impossible to ask for "colour accuracy" with that gigantic screen door effect. I don't know what percentage of the screen is black lines between the pixels. 5%? 10%?

I've used 27" 1080p screen for something around 2 years, it was perfectly fine for desktop use at the same distance I now use my 34" UWQHD screen. The only thing that bugged me was aliasing. Color accuracy was also decent with nearly 100% sRGB coverage and around 87% of DCI-P3.

so you are looking to VA with SAME color accuracy like IPS:D
any suggestions?
- get 2K 144 Hz (or more if you are jet pilot and see a diff beyond 144 Hz lmfao)
- get 1080p 60-75 Hz Dell IPS and enjoy the picture (but better 4K then)

yeah, I've purchased Dell "without stand" to save few $$$ and got Dell's stand used for cheap, then realized it's whether VESA or Dell's proprietary mount only for monitors with stand... :D :D :D (luckily I got some VESA stand from old Philips lol)

but, "arms" are better for dual+ monitors when they are SAME. NIce and clean, but requires A LOT of desk space too (or it's weird like keyboard on desk only and you have no room for other items lol)

I didn't say that. I left some room for IPS models, too.

You think, whereas I saw an S2715H in action. This "door effect" is ridiculously overblown by those who don't know how to use monitors properly. 27" diagonal requires users to be at least 40" away from a display for optimal use. You just can't notice this thing from such a distance.
You're kinda locking yourself in with that 27" 1080p requirement.
However, some media we are about to run DOESN'T WORK at 1440p. I mean, it technically does but it's broken. We don't know how to fix that and nobody does. Difference between 1080p and 1440p is nothing to scuff at but in this particular case, not a big deal whatsoever.
So I'll have to slot an NVIDIA GPU for VRR, innit? Doesn't read as Freesync-compatible. Not a deal breaker, just curious. I can switch a GPU, not a problem.

This is a freesync only monitor (it does not have a G-Sync Module) and works identical on both Radeon and GeForce.
NVidia just tested the Panel and "certified" it.

• Not TN. Not OLED.
• No smearing, ghosting, etc issues. At least no noticeable.
You're looking for an IPS screen then. VA is almost inherently prone to smearing independent of overdrive settings (and I say that after using two GREAT VA monitors - MSI MAG241C and Aorus CV27Q).

• Standard "non-gaming" visual design. Call me ol' fashioned but these "gaming" monitors are fugly as hell.
How much is too much on the design of the monitors? Their stand (say, a V-shape) or their back? Color (e.g. red or purple) accents?

Well, looking at the specs you want and applying a little subjectivity filter over the design, I could at least find two models readily available at Xcom-shop:
MSI G2722
AOC 27G4X

From these two, the AOC has more modern connectivity (both HDMI and DP).

Also, you can't deport me to Brazil. I'm already here.

Weird. Okay but weird. Gotta report on this error at the local electronics store.

It's also closer to what I consider a normal design. Did you use it? Any comment on it?

I'm typing this with 34" display mounted on monitor arm attached to 120x80 cm wide desk that holds full tower case, ps5, router, usb switch, external audio card, laptop, microphone on a microphone arm, full size keyboard and a mouse and there's still enough room left for a full plate of food. And I can get my monitor to rotate 90 degrees to the right so I can lay on a sofa whenever I want to. Try doing the same thing without a monitor arm.

However, some media we are about to run DOESN'T WORK at 1440p. I mean, it technically does but it's broken. We don't know how to fix that and nobody does. Difference between 1080p and 1440p is nothing to scuff at but in this particular case, not a big deal whatsoever.
Others beat me to it, but 1080p@ 27" is a torture. I've seen it with my own eyes. Depending on the pixel density things can preeetyy fugly, borderline unusable. What kind of media won't run on a 27" with a 1440p? Anyhow, I just wouldn't do it. Also 250mhz, for ~$300 that's not even possible where I live. Closest one was something from Lenovo.

VESA availability.
You have this listed under "Would be great". I think you need to be more specific because it affects other factors.

To illustrate, any monitor I buy MUST have a stand with adjustable height. This is because (1) my desk has a hutch over it. I can adjust the height of my chair to bring my arms in at the correct angle for my keyboard. But I cannot adjust the height of my desk (or the hutch). So, (2) to avoid neck and back strain after long hours, I need to adjust the position/height of my monitors for proper ergonomic positioning. Hence, I need height adjustment.

HOWEVER, "IF" you will be mounting the monitor on a 3rd party VESA mount, the feature options of the stand that comes with this monitor are immaterial.

LG 27GQ50F-B UltraGear 27 ?
27GP750-B looks more promising and it's also not much more than $300. Also much more widely available. Any contras?
Others beat me to it, but 1080p@ 27" is a torture. I've seen it with my own eyes
I've seen it, too. No one will use it for text editing, 82 PPI is overqualified. Current display is 31.5", also 1080p. Nothing wrong with 27". My current display is only 4K due to me having to work a lot with text. Would've probably picked something of lesser resolution otherwise.
I think you need to be more specific
I don't think I do. I have absolutely zero plans on using VESA but it would be great to have this function anyway. Who knows what happens next, y'know. Everyone would've been a billionaire if we could predict all the tides.
My desk is adjustable so having a monitor sticking to the only possible height is not a problem.

You sure you don't mean 850? GQ50F-B is just a 2023 refresh that has updated design and maybe a bit lower spec panel.

I'm sure. 850 is 1440p which doesn't work out for me. I explicitly stated that only 1080p displays will do.

That's a pretty solid monitor vs what I suggested IPS and higher refresh. Not my cup of tea personally as I could get an LG 31.5 2560x1440 ips for the same price. But to each their own! It meets all of your requirements.
