Just in time for me to have switched out my trusty (but, double clicking) G502 Lightspeed I'd had for the past 4 years. Got a G502X Lightspeed to replace it from BBuy using rewards, so it came out to under $50.

Problem with the 7900X3D is that if you want to M/T, you're better off with a 7900X or 7950X. If you want to game, you're better off with a 7800X3D.

8+4 config likely doesn't exist because they were shunting as many of those as they could to 7950X3D and 7800X3D skus. Possibly could happen now, but I doubt it. Problem with the 7900X3D is that the 7800X3D outperformed it in games for less.

MSI has, historically been a lot slower on pushing out the BIOS updates for their motherboards; but I have to say I've yet to have any issue with any of them.

That's what the CHIPS act has been all about, of course. Unfortunately it takes time to build these facilities out, and train people to run them.

Guys, node wars don't really matter anymore. It's the performance they can extract out of the nodes they're using. On that point, I have no doubt NVIDIA will be able to extract enough performance from the node.

BETA in that you need to opt in to get it. And only owners of the Steam version can get it. I have to wait for the actual patch to release on the Windows Store before I can enjoy any of these fixes.

He's talking about the issue with motherboard vendors not adhering to lower SoC voltage due to unclear instruction from AMD. Though no motherboards went with the CPUs from what I recall. Just CPUs. And those were all covered under warranty.
