AMD Announces RDNA 3 GPU Launch Livestream

Even 1440p seems unlikely, 1080p though, probably.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition

Ahhh, okay. It's just that 99% of posts like this are from AMD fanboys who never fail to display disgusting double standards and I guess I just assumed something similar... Still though, more than 256 bit bus on a xx80 series card is far more of an exception rather than the rule, appearing only...

    Intel Core i5-13600K

Mainstream champion for sure! Gaming performance beyond anything from previous gen or what AyyyyMD can muster, multi nearly matching that of 5950x and you can pair it with an entry level Z690 board (bar 2 or 3 worst ones) or even a solid B660 and ddr4 if you want to save a couple hundred extra...

    Intel Core i9-13900K

Fastest cpu overall, much faster in games and can be had for barely more than 7900x on a (potentially, if you so choose) much cheaper platform to boot! What's not to like, except of course, if you're a hardcore red team fanboy, then there will always be a pea under the mattress... :D

Intel Claims 11 Percent Gaming Performance Advantage of the Core i9-13900K Over AMD's Ryzen 9 7950X

So pretty much exactly in line with my postulations not long ago (I rounded it to 10% obviously) and some early Youtube reviews seem to confirm it. Despite having an all-new line of cpus out on a cutting edge node, AMD is already back to playing catch-up and this time, I'm not sure the x3d...

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Price Cut Further, Now Starts at $669

In an ideal world perhaps... I remember you could get a couple 980Ti-s (new) under $400 after the 1070 launch. Of course even then, it wasn't the greatest deal compared to the latter, which was similarly priced, performed about the same (although with both OCed to the max, the 980Ti usually won...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition

Very failed logic here; let me remind you that AMD's very top card(s) also have exactly 256 bit bus. If anything, you could complain about a lot less cuda cores...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition

Precisely! Under proper, gpu-constrained circumstances (top cpu, 4k resolution, rt), it is anything but a "generic performance leap" and is simply leagues above everything else and will most likely retain a very healthy lead even against the best rdna3 will have to offer.

    RTX 4090 & 53 Games: Ryzen 7 5800X vs Core i9-12900K

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Posts Significantly Higher Gaming Performance with a CCD Disabled

Just goes to show - for gaming at least, monolithic is still the way to go!

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Price Cut Further, Now Starts at $669

...the RX 6900 XT is a formidable 4K gaming graphics card... Not really...Somewhat ironically (for being their almost top card), it's actually best suited for high refresh rate 1080p and 1440p gaming without RT: That won't happen anytime soon, now that both will be on the same process...

AMD Cuts Down Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Production As Demand Drops Like a Rock

Some of us have been saying this ever since the first rumors regarding the overall platform cost appeared - it's simply too high to appeal to anyone but the most ardent fanboys (and even then, just those that are at least reasonably well off at that) and what do you know, this is exactly what's...

Intel Core i9-13900KF CPU Arrives Before the Official Launch

Couldn't agree more and I've stated the same several times. Those of us with some "mileage" also clearly remember when they started to be this bad (not that they were great before, mind you) - it was in second half of 2006 when AMD got dealt a twin death blow in quick succession, so to say...

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Cooling Requirements & Thermal Throttling

Funny that you should mention a laptop from 2008, because I also happen to have one from that exact year that also still works (HP with a 2Ghz Core 2 Duo), however the temps never exceed 70 degrees! This can make all the difference in the world as far as longevity is concerned.

MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X

Nice collection of parts (although in my opinion the Strix is vastly overpriced this time around), which cpu though? Waiting for 13th gen?
